Back in the early ‘90s, I was homeless. Living out of my car. Dreaming big, but sleeping small. So when I got my very first TV check, I didn’t go buy a chain, I didn’t run to the dealership—I bought myself an apartment.

That little one-room place had rent that was \$185 a month. It wasn’t much. Just a door, a bathroom, and a fridge-kitchen combo. But to me? Man, it was a palace. Because after months of struggling, I finally had a door I could close behind me that was mine. I stayed up that whole first night just leaning against the wall, thankful.

It took me 8 months before I even bought a bed. I didn’t care—I was used to sleeping in a car. Having four walls and a roof felt like luxury.

Let this be a reminder: don’t let the size of your start determine the size of your dream. Your first blessing might be small, but it’s a sign of more to come. Stay faithful. Stay grounded. Keep grinding. 🙏🏾💼
