In Update 16, Gary shares the joy of his first night back home in his own bed after his radical prostatectomy! He expresses gratitude for the amazing care at Gold Coast University Hospital but is thrilled to finally enjoy a restful night’s sleep. His surgeon is very pleased with the surgery’s success, and Gary is now recovering with a catheter for the next two weeks until it’s removed.

A catheter is used for about two weeks after a radical prostatectomy to support proper healing of the bladder and urethra, ensuring effective drainage and reducing the risk of complications.

Thank you for all the support! Please like, comment, and follow for more updates on Gary’s recovery journey.
