Uncovering History: The Mysterious Oldest Cemetery in Altoona!

Perhaps the oldest Cemetery in Altoona, this cemetery is all but forgotten.
The McDowell Cemetery was abandoned for quite a few years but has a small group working to maintain it. a large portion of the 57 or so markers are just raw stones with no markings. Others have fallen or been toppled. Those that have engraving are hard to read. Dates on some stones are from the early 1800's.
