Ethanol Destroyed My Carb AGAIN!

It seems that I am always replacing the carburetor on my 1971 Ford Torino 500. I don’t drive it much, so it does sit. The cheap Chinese carbs I keep putting on it mixed with ethanol in modern fuel have once again claimed another accelerator pump.

The company on Amazon I got this carb from sent me out a new one since it failed in just months with only a few miles on it, so I’m doing a full swap. Eventually I’ll swap out the accelerator pump on the old one so when this one fails again in a few months, I’ll have a backup!

Keep in mind that I am NOT a professional mechanic. I just like to tinker within my means, so don’t take anything I say as professional advice. Want to follow along on my Torino journey? Make sure you subscribe!
