Also,resources that you had could potentially disqualify you if you had over the limit. resources such as liquid assets,real property,cars,boats,mineral rights,etc.etc.all had specific limits that could potentially disqualify you until they were liquidated and spent down over a specified period of time. In other words, if you had $$$ in savings or a really expensive car,etc. you had to spend that down to a certain limit over a specified period of time before asking the government to help with food stamps, etc. now most resources don’t count for nearly all programs. I saw many, many changes over the years that helped many people become less concerned about taking care of their own, and their families own needs, and become dependent on the government to provide things they could/should be providing for themselves. Retired from that a couple years ago,right before our Governor in Ca (Newscum) decided to grant full Medical benefits to all illegal aliens
