Reaching Reality: A Sailing Adventure of making a Dream into Reality

Reaching Reality is a raw, 5-episode documentary series (26 minutes each) about an adventure-hungry filmmaker determined to tell a story from the sea. Setting sail on a 24-foot boat from San Francisco to the tip of Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, three friends battle storms, seasickness, dwindling morale—and the urge to abandon the journey entirely.

Through seven remote islands, they chase untouched surf, encounter migrating lobsters, whales, shark hunters, and the silence of uninhabited beaches. After a fateful encounter with a mysterious messenger, the trip transforms from a surf odyssey to a deeper search for meaning—until the crushing weight of limited supplies and looming reality begins to set in.
