After years of not doing nails—and a tough few years battling chronic illness and mental health challenges—I’ve decided to ease myself back into some gentle routines that help me feel more cared for, more myself, and a little more put-together.

With salon prices now hitting £94 for hands and feet, I gave myself a challenge:
