Train Your Inner Voice to be Your Greatest Ally Instead of Worst Enemy

This is what happens after years of telling yourself "ill do it tomorrow"

There was a time you couldn't wait to jump out of bed and hit the gym.
There was a time you were fired up to work hours on your business.
You used to take pride in how special you made your wife feel.
You were on fire and thought anything was possible for you.

Now you don't know if you can leave the covers when the alarm has gone off. That thought wouldn't have crossed your mind when you were disciplined. Your identity has changed.

You now question whether you will commit, believe you'll fail again, or think your best was decades ago.
The beliefs you have about yourself are less than they were. The confidence you have in yourself is weaker than it was.
If you were to describe yourself to another person, it would sound very different than you did years ago when you were on fire.

It's not because you are getting older. I know hundreds of fathers and grandfathers ages 40-70+pushing themselves to the limit, full of confidence and energy. It's not because you have young kids or babies. Again, I know hundreds of fathers who time block, make priorities, have strong family communication, and are efficient during the day who can move the needle in their life while being an present father.

It's because you have been breaking promises to yourself every day for years and you believe you are a promise breaker. You don't trust yourself.

As long as this continues you won't take risks, wont invest in yourself, wont try new things, and will be stuck in a perfectionist mindset. The path needs to be totally clear of obstacles for you to believe you have any chance of success.

How do you fix this? Brick by brick. Pomise kept by promise kept. Stop talking negatively to yourself. Surround yourself with positive voices of people who will inject self belief into you. Stop isolating and only listening to your own negative voice.

Your inner voice may be trained to tell you to give up, that you'll fail, that you arent good enough. Train your inner voice to be your greatest ally instead of worst enemy.
