MODERN MISSIONARY MOVEMENT

There was a driving force to do foreign missions to many nations which came about largely after they read about David Brainerd: Missionary to the New England natives. Then missionaries from England, Scotland and America dedicated themselves to places like: Africa, Burma, China, India, etc. There work at first, and for many years, seemed futile. In that they often for more than a half a dozen years had not ONE soul saved: and the cost was terribly high to health and the death loved ones: their women and children. Yet, like David Brainerd,they stayed the course and because of perseverance and prayer they reaped a huge harvest. This then, their stories, speak to us today who are in tough ministries to: Pray and Stay.
