Conversation with An Atheist

Until recent decades atheism denied the existence of God or gods. It is difficult if not impossible to make a postive defense of that position. More recently those who identify as atheists have been working to redefine their self-description. American Atheists writes: “To be clear: Atheism is not a disbelief in gods or a denial of gods; it is a lack of belief in gods.” What sort of conversation can we have with an atheist about origins, meaning, morality and destiny?
