Navigating Your Mental Health in Today's World - Dr. Jen Hartstein
Dr. Jennifer Hartstein joins Something For Everybody this week. Dr. Jen is currently in private practice in New York City, specializing in the treatment of high-risk children and adolescents. She is the owner and founder of Hartstein Psychological Services, PLLC, a group psychotherapy practice. Dr. Jen is the mental health contributor for Yahoo! Lifestyle and Yahoo! News. She is also a frequent psychological contributor for NBC’s The Today Show, a national morning news program.
In this conversation, Dr. Jen and I explore the complexities of parenting, adolescence, and mental health. We discuss the impact of overprotective parenting on children's resilience, the importance of listening to teens, and the role of media in shaping young men's perspectives. The conversation emphasizes the need for supportive environments and daily mental health check-ins to foster well-being.
