James Gunn Says There is No Rivalry Between Superman and Fantastic Four Releases

This July two big superhero movies are set to release just 2 weeks apart: James Gunn’s Superman and Marvel’s Fantastic Four, now James Gunn is saying fans don’t have to fight over them.

Marvel has been mostly struggling at the box office these last few years while DC is rebooting its shared comic universe with this Superman movie. While James Gunn is clearly not trying to alienate audiences, it’s clear one movie will likely win out over the other. Combine that with the close proximity of their releases and it stand to reason one film will siphon business away from the other.
