1 officer killed, 1 wounded and another person dead in Los Angeles County shooting

A police officer was killed and another injured during a shooting in Baldwin Park, California, east of Los Angeles.

The incident occurred Saturday evening when officers responded to reports of a rifle-wielding gunman.

They were met with gunfire, and the suspect, an adult male, was wounded and taken into custody.

Another person was found dead at the scene, Breitbart News has reported.

The injured officer is in good condition, while the deceased officer, described as an “amazing man,” was known for his love of snowboarding and Dodger games.

Authorities are investigating the double homicide.
