Episode 2 — “Glorious Garments”
From fig leaves to robes of light—discover how Scripture, Second-Temple writings, and early church voices all point to one breathtaking reality: the resurrection body that awaits us. In this session we trace the garment theme from Eden to the Apocalypse, showing that every redeemed saint will one day exchange mortality for an incorruptible “tent” just as God intended in the beginning.

What We’ll Cover
Genesis Blueprint – Why God’s own “tunics of skins” (Gen 3 :21) hint at a coming covering far greater than animal hides.

Priestly & Prophetic Threads – Garments of glory in Ex 28, Isa 61 :10, and Zech 3 :4–5, all foreshadowing resurrection clothing.

Paul’s Tent Metaphor – Our present body as a fragile skēnos awaiting an eternal dwelling (2 Cor 5 :1-5; 1 Cor 15 :42-54).

Voices from Qumran & Enoch – 1QS 3 :7-9 and 1 Enoch 62 on being “clothed with garments of glory,” plus 2 Enoch 22 where the patriarch receives radiant robes.

Apocrypha & Wisdom Traditions – Wis 5 :15-16; Sir 6 :31; 4 Ezra 2 :39-45 celebrating robes of immortality.

Early Church Echoes – Irenaeus (Adv. Haer. 5.6), Clement of Alexandria (Strom. 2.112), and the Odes of Solomon singing of the garment “woven with glory.”

Revelation Fulfilled – White robes given to the overcomers (Rev 3 :5), the martyrs (Rev 6 :11), the great multitude (Rev 7 :9-14), and the Bride herself (Rev 19 :7-8).

Field Lesson – Practical habits for “putting on the new self” (Col 3 :9-14) while we await our eternal dwelling.

In what ways can believers “dress rehearsals” now—living out holiness as a preview of the coming robe?

Which image speaks to you most: body, robe, tent, or temple—and why?
