Senegalese Students Expel Zionist Ambassador from Dakar University

In a powerful display of solidarity with Palestine,
students at Cheikh Anta Diop University (UCAD) in Dakar, Senegal, heckled and chased out Israeli Occupation Forces’ (IOF) ambassador, Yuval Waks, on May 27, 2025, preventing him from speaking at a conference on international relations.

Waving Palestinian flags and chanting “Free Palestine,” “Free Gaza,” and “Israel is a war criminal,” the students condemned the Zionist regime’s genocidal actions in Gaza, refusing to allow their campus to be a platform for IOF representatives.

Waks, recently appointed and also serving as envoy to several West African nations, was escorted off campus by security amid boos and protests, a clear rejection of Zionist presence in Senegal.

This act reflects the growing global outrage against the IOF’s atrocities, with Senegal’s students standing firmly with the Palestinian resistance.
