Uganda is a landlocked East African country renowned for its remarkable ethnic diversity, often called the "Pearl of Africa." The largest and most influential group are the Baganda, who primarily inhabit the central region and whose powerful traditional monarchy (the Kabaka) significantly shaped Uganda's history.
