June 1, 2025 - Is God Through With Israel? NO!!

Oh, the depth of the wisdom and knowledge of God! (Romans 11:33-36)

Referring to verses 1-32, Paul lets out a burst of praise for God’s future plans for Israel

Who has known the mind of the LORD? NO ONE!

Who has been His counselor? NO ONE!

Who does God owe anything? NO ONE!

Isaiah 55:8-9 "My thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are you ways my ways," declared the Lord. "As the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways and my thought than your thoughts."

How can I relate to a being that is incomprehensible?

What is our Incomprehensible God like? John 14: 8-9

Jesus is the image of the invisible God – Colossians 1: 15
* Image = “eikon” = an artistic representation as one might see on a coin or statue
* “Eikon” can also refer to a visible manifestation of an invisible and heavenly reality form
* As used in Colossians, “eikon” speaks of an embodiment or living manifestation of God

Chapter 11 is about God NOT being through with Israel; the Church has NOT replaced Israel

This is Paul’s doxology – ALL GLORY TO GOD!

This screams the Sovereignty of God in the preservation of Israel – GOD SUPREME! GOD ALMIGHTY!!

GOD , INCOMPREHENSIBLE, IS NOT THROUGH WITH ISRAEL!!

Romans 11:33-36 "Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable His judgments, and His paths beyond tracing out! "Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been His counselor? Who has ever given to God, that God should repay them?" For from Him and through Him and for Him are all things. To Him be the glory forever! Amen.
