Nevada Official Admits Helping Illegals with Public Funds
In a revelation that exposes one of the deepest cracks in the U.S. social assistance system, Deshaun E. Mack, a Family Services Specialist at the Nevada Department of Health and Human Services, admitted to intentionally helping illegal immigrants remain in the country and access state-funded medical coverage—regardless of whether his actions violate federal or state law.
The confession was captured during an undercover meeting with a journalist, where Mack openly explained how he and other health system employees deliberately manipulate the rules to benefit illegal immigrants, primarily from Cuba and Mexico. Among the most alarming statements, Mack admitted to granting emergency medical coverage for up to 12 consecutive months, even though the law only allows it to be approved on a month-by-month basis.
“I do it because I can. And I don’t care if it’s legal or not,” he said coldly.
Subverting the System: “I tell them we don’t work with ICE”
During the conversation, Mack explained that following certain recent elections, there was a noticeable drop in Cuban and undocumented immigrants seeking assistance. The reason? Fear of increased immigration enforcement under President Donald Trump's administration. In response, he and several colleagues reassured their “clients,” telling them, “we don’t work with ICE” (Immigration and Customs Enforcement).
These statements not only represent a serious violation of institutional duty but also a betrayal of the U.S. public, who trust that state resources will be distributed legally and transparently. While millions of U.S. citizens struggle to access medical services, Mack is using public funds to benefit people who are in the country illegally.
Extended Emergency Coverage: “Because I want to, and I can”
One of the most shocking claims was Mack’s explanation of the irregular extension of emergency medical coverage for illegal immigrants. According to the law, such benefits must be renewed monthly in exceptional cases. However, Mack revealed that he keeps these coverages active for six or even twelve months at a time, simply “because I want to.”
This institutional abuse reflects the impunity with which some bureaucrats operate, shielded by progressive ideologies that, instead of protecting the rule of law and citizens’ well-being, prioritize humanitarian narratives used as excuses to bypass the law.
Furthermore, Mack admitted to keeping passwords and access to internal systems without following the stipulated rules. This not only jeopardizes the legality of the process but also threatens the security of the system’s data, opening the door to fraud, duplicate coverages, and unlawful use of sensitive information.
The Failure of Democrat Policies: A Compromised System
Deshaun Mack’s case is not an isolated incident. It is the direct result of years of Democrat-led policies that have weakened the immigration system and turned the bureaucratic apparatus into a political tool that serves ideological agendas more than the law.
Past administrations allowed thousands of government workers to enter and remain in positions where they now openly act against legal order. Their activism, disguised as “public service,” has created internal networks of protection for illegal immigrants, operating within state offices, hospitals, schools, and beyond.
President Trump’s administration has repeatedly warned about this progressive “deep state,” which quietly works to block immigration reforms and national security advancements.
Who Protects Citizens from These Abuses?
While a bureaucrat like Deshaun Mack feels comfortable manipulating public resources to benefit illegals, thousands of U.S. citizens face waiting lists, skyrocketing premiums, and limited services. Who is defending their rights?
Instead of punishing those who break the law, many Democrat-controlled state governments protect—and even celebrate—these employees, ignoring the human and financial costs of their actions. It is estimated that the misuse of medical services by illegal immigrants costs taxpayers billions of dollars each year.
The Solution: Restore Law and Order
President Donald Trump has reiterated his commitment to restoring order, legality, and the protection of public resources. Cases like Deshaun Mack’s show that the cleanup must start from within—removing from institutions those who have forgotten their oath to serve the people of the U.S.
Trump has proposed tougher laws to penalize officials who knowingly facilitate services to illegal immigrants, along with constant audits of state departments to ensure fair and legal use of federal budgets.
