A hiker in Alaska, Kell Morris, miraculously survived after being pinned face-down in a glacier-fed creek for three hours by a 700-pound boulder.

While hiking with his wife near Godwin Glacier outside Anchorage, a rock slide trapped him in icy water.

His wife, Jo Roop, a police officer, kept his head above water and called for help with precise GPS coordinates.

Rescuers, using inflatable airbags and a helicopter, freed him just as rising water levels threatened his life, the BBC has reported.

Morris suffered only bruises and hypothermia and has since fully recovered.
