At least 1 dead, multiple people injured as severe weather hits Kentucky

A tornado struck central Kentucky’s Washington County early Friday, killing one person and injuring at least 14 others.

The EF-2 tornado, with winds up to 115 mph, caused severe damage.

Another tornado in Loudon County, Tennessee, injured five.

Additional storms swept across the East, causing widespread wind damage in several states, ABC News has reported.

Kentucky’s Governor warned residents of more storms expected in eastern and southeastern parts of the state.
