Is conspiracy theorist Alex Jones the victim of a conspiracy?

If you were to always assume that things are not what they seem, then you would be right more than 90% of the time historically, especially in law and politics. However, is that enough to vindicate conspiracy theorists like Alex Jones? Is Jones receiving his comeuppance or is he the man who cried globalist too many times? and is his case a bellwether for the future of free speech in America? If he is accused of spreading fake news and hate propaganda or selling snake oil, then the same can be said of other media only on a larger scale. Or is he just guilty of being more telegenic than his critics?
