Is There an Empathy Gap Between Men & Women?

The question involving an empathy gap between men and women, comes from the story I tell in the video: over time, I noticed that the women involved with this particular situation stayed the course of concern, wringing their hands each and every time my once friend sought attention.

The men?

We checked out.

It became too much.

It’s not that we wanted anything bad to happen, we didn’t/don’t.

At the same time, every time Chicken Little pipes up, you can’t give your response the same emotional energy.

It becomes draining.

Especially when you have your own life to live.

That may sound selfish, and maybe it is, but when you have a wife/kids/family of your own, someone unwilling to seek help for their problems grows old.

He won’t get help until he hits his own rock bottom.

There’s nothing anyone can do about that.
