Ice Causes Mayhem In Michigan
This video is shocking! The man behind the camera gives the following info: "Crash caught on camera in Michigan on I-69, 25 minutes from Holt." The first half of the video seems normal, and it does not look like much is going on. The title tells the viewer right off that there is a crash that was filmed, so that much is known so far; however, which crash that title is referring to is what will shock you.
When the video opens, the driver of the vehicle is filming the controlled chaos happening on the side of the road while they were driving down this interstate. The driver started filming when he or she noticed that there were emergency vehicles present ahead. The emergency first responders placed orange, striped cones in the center of the road to keep safety measures in place. This told the driver that something was going on up ahead on the road. The driver ends up, however, catching something on his or her camera that was completely unintentional and unexpected.
As the camera approaches the first responders’ vehicles, a blue and white eighteen- wheeler is briefly seen on the other side of the screen that shows the oncoming traffic in the opposite lane. The truck passes by the driver, but after a few seconds, the camera turns to the left. This puts the blue and white truck back into view. That’s when the unthinkable happens…
The truck skids on the ice and very quickly heads toward the median between the two sides of the interstate. The truck continues, driving right off the road altogether. It plummets to the bottom of the ditch between the two roads, and it abruptly and violently crashes into the ground. Dirt and mud spews upward several feet above the height of the truck when the truck wrecks.
Viewers cringe watching the spectacle. This gives new meaning to the old adage: “It is like a train wreck; you hate it is happening, but you just cannot help but to watch.” The horror unfolds right before our eyes, and it is all caught on camera. The truck has crashed so violently, and there is nothing that gives us a clue as to whether or not the driver of the truck is alive, or injured or not. This is a very scary situation. However, like divine intervention, luckily enough there were already first responders on the scene. Remember them from the beginning of the video? Thank goodness they were already there.
The camera shows the firemen and ambulance crews rushing toward the new crash and to the truck driver’s aid. Even when the video reaches the end, we still are not sure about the condition of the driver. Hopefully, he or she is alright with minimal injury. However, it would not be surprising, unfortunately, for a crash like this to end in disaster and severe injury. Although this is a horrible scene, it is a good thing at least that no other cars were involved in this terrible, devastating crash.
