The Long-Awaited Return of Father Frank Pavone

Dismissed by Pope Francis in worldly terms — that is what happened to Father Frank Pavone, leader of Priests for Life. He led the initiative of priests defending life due to his strong stance in favor of life from conception.

In church terms, he was reduced to the lay state, meaning he could no longer celebrate Mass. He became just another faithful member. However, now Father Frank Pavone is hopeful that under the papacy of Pope Leo, he can return to the priesthood and be a shepherd to his flock.

He appeared quite optimistic and publicly thanked those who have been praying for him.

From the most conservative sectors, there was strong outrage over his dismissal, since voices far more opposed to Church teachings were not removed — yet he was.
