Watch as I deftly (that is, clumsily) weave writing advice into a song analysis. What could possibly go wrong? Well...

After I recorded this, the “it's hard to know when your mind declares a war on you” line clicked in my head, which made the next line make more sense. I’m a damn fool. I assumed “it’s hard to know” was referring to something else. Now I realise it’s saying … “it’s hard to know when your mind HAS declared a war on you.” It’s hard to know when that particular experience is happening. I think. Anyway, consider that part of the video a blooper.
