I was also a victim of musical abuse: no joke. I asked for tuba sheet music at 12 for my b'day, but was given a $1.5K Miraphone tuba as an implied multi-year commitment. I'd been playing the instrument for less than a semester, and has started on the drums and trumpet. I only gave up the trumpet because the pressure on my gums from the braces was causing pain and sores. I was also athletically abused with obligatory park 'n' rec league soccer, among the pre-existing ritual abuse. Because... "Soccer Moms"... no child is being athletically abused with mandatory participation. Yep! More MK!
