👇 Tonights Watch Party will be Shooter, a film from (2007) that is an action thriller film directed by Antoine Fuqua and based on Stephen Hunter’s novel Point of Impact. The story follows Bob Lee Swagger, a highly skilled former Marine sniper portrayed by Mark Wahlberg, who has retreated into seclusion after a traumatic mission in Ethiopia. When he is approached by government agents to help prevent an imminent assassination attempt on the President, Swagger reluctantly agrees to lend his expertise. However, he quickly discovers that he’s been set up as the scapegoat in a complex conspiracy involving high-level corruption, private military contractors, and political cover-ups.

Framed for a crime he didn’t commit and pursued by federal agents, Swagger goes on the run, using his elite training to uncover the truth and seek justice. With the help of a rookie FBI agent and the widow of his fallen comrade, he begins dismantling the network that betrayed him. The film combines tense action sequences, calculated sniper tactics, and a narrative of betrayal and revenge, making it a gritty exploration of patriotism, corruption, and resilience in the face of overwhelming odds.
