The Eve Myth is part of the album In the Name of the Lamb, a body of work that sheds light on how religious doctrine has long manipulated and controlled not just beliefs, but bodies. For centuries, the Church has portrayed the female body as sinful ... a vessel of temptation, impurity, and shame. A woman’s monthly cycle was called unclean, her sensuality a trap, her voice a threat. It was not her strength they feared, but her freedom .... to bleed, to choose, to desire without permission.

This song revisits the myth of Eve, not as the bearer of sin, but as the origin of life. It questions a history written in guilt and asks what it means when the body itself becomes heresy. Through poetic resistance, The Eve Myth reclaims what was taken : dignity, ownership, and voice. It gives sound to what was silenced and breath to what was buried under centuries of obedience and shame.

The Eve Myth maakt deel uit van het album 'In the Name of the Lamb', een muzikale aanklacht tegen hoe religieuze dogma’s eeuwenlang niet alleen onze overtuigingen, maar ook onze lichamen hebben beheerst. Eeuwenlang werd het vrouwenlichaam binnen de Kerk afgeschilderd als zondig : een bron van verleiding, onreinheid en schaamte. Haar maandelijkse cyclus werd onzuiver genoemd, haar sensualiteit een valstrik, haar stem een gevaar. Niet haar zwakte werd gevreesd, maar haar vrijheid : om te bloeden, te kiezen, te verlangen zonder toestemming.

Dit nummer herbekijkt de mythe van Eva, niet als brenger van zonde, maar als oorsprong van leven. Het stelt een geschiedenis in vraag die geschreven werd in schuld, en vraagt zich af wat het betekent wanneer het lichaam zelf tot ketterij wordt verklaard. The Eve Myth is poëtisch verzet ... een terugname van wat ooit werd ontnomen: waardigheid, eigenaarschap en stem. Het geeft klank aan wat ooit tot zwijgen werd gebracht, en adem aan wat begraven lag onder eeuwen van gehoorzaamheid en schaamte.

Niet alle mythes zijn waar. En niet alle stilte is heilig.
