This piece was originally presented in Charlie Chaplin's 1936 film "Modern Times". Chaplin composed the music, but it did not become popular until after Geoffrey Parsons and John Turner added lyrics in 1954. Later that year, Nat King Cole released the first recording of the song with lyrics, and it performed very well both in America and the UK. Since, it has become a standard piece for vocalists, including Michael Jackson and Sammy Davis Jr. Enjoy!
