Boy Meets Horn

This piece was co-written by Duke Ellington and Rex Stewart during the latter's eleven years with the Ellington orchestra. It was written for the cornet, an instrument similar to the trumpet. Rex was well known for his impressive muted tone and forceful melodies, prompting the Duke to arrange and score several pieces for him. Enjoy!
