About Marc Young:
Marc Young is a PhD candidate in Geoarchaeology at Flinders University, Australia, and a key member of the Comet Research Group. Passionate about cosmic impact events, Marc specializes in the Younger Dryas Impact Hypothesis, investigating how comets and asteroids have shaped human history and the environment. His work includes analyzing sediment for impact proxies like shocked quartz and magnetic microspherules, as well as compiling the definitive YDIH bibliography, known as "The Bib." Inspired by a childhood fascination with ancient Egypt and a pivotal Joe Rogan podcast featuring Graham Hancock and Randall Carlson, Marc transitioned from a non-academic career to pursue his dream of becoming a geocosmic archaeologist. His research also spans other cosmic events, from the Australasian Tektites (~780 ka) to the Tunguska airburst (1908).
