Numbers 32

11

In this chapter, a few tribes want land that has already been taken by all 12, instead of crossing the river. Moses rightfully asks them why they should get land for themselves that all 12 tribes helped take.

They come to an agreement, where Reuben and Gad will build cities and sheep pens for their animals, and cross over and help the other 10 tribes conquer Canaan, the promised land.

Manasseh ends up getting in on the action as well, and captures some of the northern most land on the east side of the Jordan River that Israel will capture and winds up with land on both sides of the Jordan, in the future.

The men were making a vow, which we've talked about in the past, and they were required to keep it, to get that land. As we'll find out, they were faithful and go the land they requested.
