The planet is dying. Humanity had 100 years to prepare. In doing so they created the Felix; genetically engineered beings of superior intelligence. From there they then built the massive colony ships to evacuate the planet for a journey amongst the stars for a new homeworld.

Ryou Haruna is a special forces soldier who has bee assigned to protective duty at a research facility on a lone island in the middle of the ocean. There he is to protect Sion, a Felix who was the architect of the colony ship project. While there's a fully staffed military garrison dedicated to her protection and the evacuation of the planet already underway, Sion seeks to stay on Earth to witness the end of the world.
