Sonata in D Major (Allegro)

This is the first of three movements in Haydn's Piano Sonata No. 50. Little is known about the making of this particular piece, but Franz Joseph Haydn is said to have composed this at least by 1780. Haydn was a avid writer of sonatas, as well as symphonies. In addition, Haydn was one of the composers of the Classical era that witnessed the popularization of the fortepiano. Even more impressively, he was one of the few that adjusted his compositions after a short while in order to accommodate the new instrument. Enjoy!
