Week 18 Readings of our 2025 Chronological Bible-in-a-Year Reading Challenge have us witnessing highlights of the early years of King Solomon's reign, and venturing into some of the Books of Wisdom he is credited with authoring.

In this tutorial, Chad provides a brief overview of the Book of Kings; a summary of some narrative highlights from this week's readings; encourages us to read through Song of Songs in one sitting, appreciating its genre as 'romantic poetry'; and explains why Psalm 119, the longest psalm in the Bible, is so repetitive!

Hint: Psalm 119 is not a song, it's an acrostic poem and is best appreciated when read in Hebrew by those who understand the Hebrew alphabet. For the rest of us, it's best we simply enjoy it as a collection of proverbs and wise sayings.

After all, like Solomon, wisdom is something we should all be asking God for...
