The Monster and the Girl (1941)

A unique blend of horror, crime, and early noir, directed by Stuart Heisler. The story follows a man wrongly executed for a crime he didn’t commit, whose brain is transplanted into a gorilla by a mad scientist. With his newfound strength, the gorilla sets out to avenge the man’s death by targeting the gangsters who framed him and ruined his sister’s life.
