2025 Toyota Tundra SR5: A Powerful Blend of Tech, Performance, and Durability

Toyota has taken bold steps to elevate the 2025 Tundra SR5, bringing major upgrades in power, performance, and refinement. Gone is the old V8, replaced by a potent i-FORCE twin-turbo V6 engine paired with a 10-speed automatic transmission, delivering 389 horsepower and 479 lb-ft of torque. This setup enables a 0–60 mph sprint in just 6.1 seconds, while the multi-link rear suspension and available 4WD provide a confident, composed ride both on and off-road.

For those who tow, the SR5 boasts a max towing capacity of 11,450 lbs and a payload rating of 1,830 lbs. The optional TRD Rally Package transforms the truck into an off-road beast with all-terrain tires, Bilstein shocks, skid plates, and crawl control. Meanwhile, the available Tow Tech Package makes hauling trailers easier and safer.

Inside, the SR5 offers comfort and functionality, including standard power-adjustable front seats and optional features like heated SofTex-trimmed seats, a wireless charging pad, and an 8-inch multimedia screen with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and SiriusXM. A larger, 14-inch infotainment display is also available and highly praised for its clarity and ease of use.

Toyota Safety Sense 2.5 comes standard, with key features such as full-speed dynamic radar cruise control, pre-collision warning with pedestrian detection, and lane tracing assist. The Tundra also scored a 5-star crash test rating, reinforcing its commitment to safety.

Visually, the Tundra stands out with LED headlights and fog lights, bold styling, and crew cab options offering bed lengths up to 6.5 feet. With a starting price of $51,010 and as-tested price of $60,497, the 2025 Tundra SR5 remains a compelling choice in the competitive full-size truck segment, holding its own against the Ford F-150, Ram 1500, and GMC Sierra 1500.
