Full one hour demo/review of Waves ILLUGEN, the new AI sample generator that can generate loops, one-shots, and sound effects (SFX).

I did not use Illugen until I started recording this video, so you will see and hear everything, good and bad. I didn't want to make a video where I only showed the good generations. Most generations are pretty good, but some are just plain bad - which is to be expected with AI models, especially new ones.

ILLUGEN is a standalone app, not a plugin. Simply input text describing a sound, mood, vibe, style, etc... and it will output 3 fresh generations in a few seconds. Your samples will be saved in a dedicated folder, so you can use them over and over. There's also a Randomize button that inputs a "random" text prompt if you aren't sure what you want to hear.

You can generate everything from full loops, to individual loops (i.e. drums only) vocals, pads, piano, guitar, synths, SFX like whooshes and explosions, and anything else you can think up.

ILLUGEN can be useful for music production, but it's also useful for video editors and creators to generate fresh sounds for their videos.
