At one of the so-called "Aid distribution" points in western Rafah, civilians describe the experience as chaotic and humiliating. Those who are strongest take what they can, while the elderly, injured, and sick are left with nothing. Eyewitnesses say there is no system in place, no oversight, and no protection for the vulnerable. The Gaza Humanitarian Foundation, which oversees the center, is accused of operating as a façade for deepening occupation control, lacking any track record or structure for actual aid work. Meanwhile, Israel continues to bar capable and experienced agencies like UNRWA and the UN’s World Food Programme from operating in the area, raising serious concerns about its intentions and the deliberate dismantling of systems designed to deliver aid safely and fairly.
