U.S. Senator Moreno Questions Panel About COVID-19 Policies

U.S. Senator Bernie Moreno (R-OH) questioned Governor Josh Green (D-HI) during the May 21, 2025 Permanent Subcommittee on Investigations is the Committee regarding the failed policies implemented during the pandemic.

Senator Moreno questioned Governor Green about school closures during the pandemic, asking:

"So why would you close schools, which you did, Governor, when no children died of COVID? What would make you make that decision? You closed schools. The impact on that was generational – you and the other governors that closed schools destroyed the lives of children,” Senator Moreno said when questioning Green."
