"Hang On Sloopy" - The McCoys

The McCoys were a rock group formed in Ohio, United States, in 1962. They are best known for their 1965 hit single "Hang On Sloopy". Originally named Rick and the Raiders, they changed their name to "The McCoys"

The lead guitarist and singer of the group, by the way, was a guy named Richard Zehringer, from Fort Recovery, Ohio, who eventually changed his named to Rick Derringer.

The Song went on to be the Unofficial Song of the Ohio State University Marching Band.
