Nabonidus Senryu #shorts

An imperfect senryu on the former Old Testament ruler of Babylon, though Nabonidus is not mentioned by name in Daniel, his son and co-regent Belshazzar is.
Belshazzar eventually became the de-factor ruler when his father (Nabonidus) went into self-imposed exile for nearly fifteen years, only returning to try to prevent the fall of his kingdom, but God through His prophet Daniel decreed the fall of Babylon and when that happens there is no coming back from the inevitable.
