Gary will evaluate a short video where John MacArthur argues that dispensationalism is the only way to interpret the Bible. MacArthur describes his methodology as the only consistent hermeneutic. Sadly, he is completely in error. If God didn't actually mean "this generation", then what other word would He use? If God didn't mean "soon", then which other word would He use? When the New Testament tells us about the "last days", how is it possible that every generation 1000, 2000, or even 3000 years in the future could all be living in the last days? I too was once deceived by Dispensational doctrine until I actually studied the Bible myself. We are indeed still waiting for the second coming of Jesus, but the Bible doesn't say anything about a rapture or a 7 year future tribulation. In fact, it teaches us something quite different.
