Note: New find from Don Gorelick aka "Oakley Tapes". Mostly indie but great films reviewed this week and half a thumbs up episode with Roeper only given a thumbs down to "Novocaine!" (Not to be confused with the more recent Action film with Dennis Quaid's son, Jake. It's a Steve Martin comedy.) Noticed the red light screen fixtures on the top left is off!

Roger Ebert & Richard Roeper reviews "Sidewalks of New York" (Edward Burns' Romantic Comedy set in New York joining with "The Brothers McMullen" and "She's The One". Was postponed to November due to 9/11. Also starring: Heather Graham, Rosario Dawson, Dennis Farina, David Krumholtz, Brittany Murphy and Stanley Tucci.; "In The Bedroom" (A Remarkable Drama with Oscar Caliber performances of Marisa Tomei, Sissy Spacek, Tom Wilkinson, Nick Stahl and William Mapother!); "Tape" (Fascinating three-character ensemble piece set directed by Richard Linklater. With Ethan Hawke, Uma Thurman (Both were a a real-life couple) and Robert Sean Leonard (They collaborated since "Dead Poet's Society".); "Novocaine" (Demented Comedy with Steve Martin (Almost a nod to his dentist character in "Little Shop of Horrors" (1986).) Helena Bonham Carter, Laura Dern and Elias Koteas.) and "The Endurance",

Video Spotlight: Ebert picks are "The Limey" and "Ghost Dog: The Way of the Samurai". Both as a double feature DVD.

Parting Shot: Roeper's take on the "Harry Potter" where the main actors, Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint are soon hitting puberty. (It started with the "Chamber of Secrets" and continues to follow through the entire series! "The Sorcerer's Stone" was only just the beginning as kids!) And a recap of Today's program!

Recorded on KATU ABC 2 in Portland, Oregon with Commercials intact.
