Memorial Day Message 2025

Thousands have made the ultimate sacrifice to keep America the great country she was made to be. We haven’t at every moment lived up to the high ideals of her founders, but have had a few moments where we’ve exceeded them. There’s the Civil War victory that ended slavery in this nation. We built the Panama Canal and other technological wonders. We defeated Fascism in a hot war, and Communism in a cold one. We put men on the Moon, the only country so far to have done so. We pushed back the scourge of Islamic terror after 9.11.01. The brave men and women of our military took part in most of those things, and some never came home. It’s for them that we strive to be the kind of country they fought for, one worth fighting for.
