"Uncle Simon"
In this darkly satirical episode, Barbara Polk has endured 25 years as the caretaker for her cantankerous and verbally abusive uncle, Simon Polk, a reclusive inventor. Despite their mutual disdain, Barbara remains in his service, anticipating an inheritance. Following Simon's death, Barbara discovers that his will stipulates she must care for his final invention—a robot named Simon—to claim her inheritance. As the robot begins to adopt Simon's personality traits, Barbara finds herself trapped in a cycle of servitude eerily reminiscent of her past.
