A failed push for police reform in the US city of Minneapolis, is casting a shadow on the fifth anniversary of George Floyd's death.
The killing of the unarmed black man by a white police officer, brought racial tensions to the surface, triggering months of protests in the United States and beyond.
Vigils and marches have been held around the country in Floyd's honor.

Al Jazeera’s Barbara Angopa reports.

Zellie Imani is a Black Lives Matter activist and Co-founder of the Black Liberation Collective. He says the situation hasn't improved over the five years since George Floyd's death.
