In Remembrance of Me

As we honor Memorial Day 2025, we remember the cost of freedom—paid by the lives of countless brave men and women throughout American history. From the Vietnam Wall to the USS Arizona, these memorials remind us that freedom comes at a high price.

But there is another memorial—one even more eternal: the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, remembered through Communion.

In today’s message, Pastor Donn takes us through Luke 22, where Jesus, on the eve of His crucifixion, instituted the Lord’s Supper and asked us to remember Him: “Do this in remembrance of Me.”

This sermon is a powerful reflection on both national and spiritual sacrifice—a reminder of how we are blessed, but not without cost.

Whether you're observing Memorial Day with family or attending church, this message will stir your heart and point you to the Ultimate Sacrifice that offers true and lasting freedom.

We are a Bible-Based, Jesus Only small community church located in rural South-East Minnesota. Our building was originally constructed in 1861 and is the oldest protestant church building in continuous use in our county.
Many people have come and gone throughout the generations, but our goal will always remain: To Serve Jesus only, and learn from His Living Word, the Scriptures.
Our small church body are all admittedly sinners, that openly strive to improve our walk daily, but also understand that we are Redeemed by the shed blood of Christ Jesus and declared innocent in God’s eyes due to Grace Alone!
There is no act of baptism, charity or observation of communion that deems us worthy. No amount of following the law of Moses, or the ever-popular observation of legalism in many churches today that will save us. That is us believing in ourselves, rather than what Christ did for us completely.
If you struggle with understanding the concept of salvation or are plagued by false teachings of following traditions rather than Christ alone, please do not hesitate to reach out to us. We would love to help!
Please watch our archive of messages on a variety of topics. Please like and share our content with others that can benefit from what God has inspired our array of speakers to bring to the body.
Most importantly, be sure you are secure in your relationship with God and Christ Jesus. It is so simple. Do not wait. Tomorrow may be too late…
