She wins every time. What's most important is making sure I am in good enough health to have the energy to play with my daughter when she is ready.

Not letting my habits slip so bad I can't show up for her.

I'm gonna be 38 soon and that is not old, but I know some 38 year olds who look 60. I also know some 60 year olds who look 38.

Many dads in their 30s talk like they are hitting the retirement home. "I'm slowing down and can't do what I used to"....really? That's a choice you are making, not an inevitably.

It comes down to daily habits and daily discipline. Saying yes to the gym saying no to more dessert. Saying no to drinks when you promised yourself no.

Not going off the rails every weekend. Living a disciplined life. The benefits aren't just about you. Your kids get a better life.
