Skelethrone | The Jewel In The Skull DLC | A Soulslike Gem

Hello Im Skill Incarnate and Welcome to My Games Review Series.
My reviews cover indie games that i have bought, had gifted to me and have been provided by developers for review.

In this episode I return to one of my favourite little Indie Soulslike called Skelethrone: The Chronicles of Ericona. This game is the breakout title by small developer 70`Strike and was published by Valkyrie Initiative, who also worked on several other indie games ive been watching including Carribean Legend and Heads Will Roll.

Skelethrone: The Chronicles of Ericona was a sleeper hit for me, releasing quietly on steam. The game features unique artwork, tight controls, an excellent soundtrack and some of the most epic boss battles youll encounter in a Soulslike title. The games release on steam was very well recieved by Soulslike fans, many of them asking about the possibility of a sequel. The developer has just released the DLC for the game called the Jewel In The Skull. This new DLC takes place in a new realm called the Ghost World, which is accessed after completing the original game. There are four new areas for you to explore, a plethora of deadly new enemies to battle, brand new weapons and equipment, all with their own magical abilities and five new bosses to test your skills against.

Ive spent over 30 hours playing Skelethrone, and i still havent completed everything the game has to offer. Ive greatly enjoyed the challenge of improving my skills as ive worked my way through the game. The developer has crafted a dark fantasy world that echoes classic titles like Castlevania and the original Dark Souls series. I believe this is a must play title for Soulslike enthusiasts, with the DLC adding significant value for players who enjoyed the original Skelethrone and are looking for and additional challenge
